running Windows 7 and have set XBMC to start when windows starts up, the only problem is that it seems to lose focus after starting and goto desktop

i have disabled balloon popups but it still seems to be happening

i also have it running in full screen mode (somewhere in the settings)

anyone have any tips in order to make sure it retains focus at start up

Go into the Properties for the XBMC link in the Startup folder and add "-d 10" to the Target, so it looks something like:

"C:\Program Files\XBMC\XBMC.exe" -d 10

This causes XBMC to delay for 10 seconds before it displays it's window, and usually this is long enough to let the other apps finish initialising. You can change the number of settings to a larger or smaller number as required. Experiment to find the optimum delay.

Another option is in Settings, System you can enable "Use a full screen window instead of true fullscreen" but this may slow down video rendering so it's a last resort.
