ok so i've got XMBC installed
all my movies are in, all fanart is found, great.
all my music is listed but no fanart. poo hoo
how do i play DVD's ?

I have my DVDs all ripped and contained in ISO format; XBMC plays the ISO files back perfectly.

sure, i'm aware of that but what about playing directly from disk ?

If your using the default skin Confluence, there is a little play button on the bottom left. Select that after inserting your DVD and you should be good to go.

Likewise, when you insert the DVD, a "Play Disc" item will appear in the menu along with Movies, TV Shows etc.

Put disc in system.
Select Play Disc from Main Menu.
Play disc.
Enjoy movie.
