I've looked everywhere for the answer to this and can't find it. What is the difference when performing the following:

apt-get install xbmc
apt-get install xbmc-live
apt-get install xbmc-standalone

I've looked everywhere and can't find a clear answer on it. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Short and simple explanation
apt-get install xbmc:
Install xbmc and you can start it in your desktop environment like Gome, KDE, ...

apt-get install xbmc-live:
Is a package that install and/or configure XBMC so the machine boots directly into XBMC without writing a password. This package users xbmc-standalone.

apt-get install xbmc-standalone:
This makes it possible to run XBMC without a windows manager.
