Boost volume level on downmix
#1
Dharma now has this function, which is great, considering that especially video files with AAC sound tend to be a little soft when downmixing. However, for me personally, the boost is a little too much as I get a bit distortion in high volume parts.

Is there any way to set my own desired level of boost, for example via the advancedsettings.xml? Preferably it would be nice if there was a boost level amount selector in the options. Thoughts?

bump!

Can someone please help with this? Can the level be adjusted? I really hate it when things like this only has on or off toggle.

<ac3downmixgain>12.0</ac3downmixgain>

In the advancedsettings.xml is for

<!-- Amount of gain (dB) to be applied to AC3 streams that have been mixed-down to 2 channels. Default is 12.0. Valid values are: -96.0 to 96.0. -->

Where to find, here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Adv...3Caudio.3E

Check this:
The "advancedsettings.xml" file, which does not exist by default, may be created by a user in their "\UserData\" folder.
Please consult your platform specific FAQ for the appropriate location.

in the Wiki to see where the advancedsettings is located for your system.
