I could buy a used AppleTV 160GB for about $100-105 US or buy a new Revo for $200.
What do you guys think?
I currently have 3 XBOX machines running on each TV in the house.... I wouldn't replace them all at once of course.
I also saw a 40 GB AppleTV on CL for $50.... hmm

Don't even think about it: revo!! I don't think you'd achieve anything serious with the aTV
But for 50$, I'd get the AppleTV too, just to play around with it.

I have both (well not a Revo, but an ION box). An AppleTV (even with a broadcom card) just absolutely sucks compared to an ION system. The AppleTV's ram limitations really hurt its performance.
(davilla you are still my hero, and your work to make the AppleTV usable has been amazing. You just didn't have much to start with.)

+1 on PoofyHairGuy
Plus (under Linux) the Revo can do 1080p the aTV can't
