this is what he is talking about. he has been putting together lists of streaming video and audio for xbmc for a while now. looks like he has made a nice gui for it now though. i used it a while a go, pretty good.

so then people are using this, good, i dont have my xbox networked yet (running the cables this weekend), how is the streaming video feed? is it actually watchable on the tv?

is this just a python script (download the stream pack and place it in the scripts folder of xbmc/python?) or am i completley wrong?

yes its just a python script. if you have a fast enough connection then it looks fine on a tv.. some of the feeds anyway.

hi everybody !
i'm french and you know what.... i am one of the xbmc-stream team :d
very nice to see some posts in here about us.

so i will try to give you more informations
xbmc-stream is the website ( http://xbmc-stream.gueux.be/ )
streampack is the name we give us and the name af a pack (zipped package) that content huge quantity of stream links. these links are files with .strm extensions. you can unpack the streampack on your xbox hard drive, then read the files from 'my video' or 'my music' section of xbmc (depending if it is a radio or a tv link)
we often propose some 'mini-pack' of streams.
we are developping a database that is currently working. it was online but some maintenance on it these days. it should be open tonight or tomorrow.

but this is 'off-topic' cause i never talked about a python script yet.. he he he ! but !
i developped a python script to browse our database. it is called xstreampack (xsp) and it enables all of us to browse the database.
to get my script (i'm very proud of it Smile ) go here :
http://xstreampack.free.fr
it is a french website but i do my best to sometimes post in english language. the script is french by default but i made it multilingual and the archive comes with both french and english language. to change language, go in 'parametres' section then 'clic' on the word 'francais'. it will scroll between all languages available. (yes you can create your own language)
see you later !! Smile

why not upload your script to http://dwl.xboxmediacenter.de/ ? it's annoying to have to register yourself on the web these days for every little thing you want to do. i swear it feels like every new site i visit these days wants me to register... some i can understand some i can't... sorry, i'll go now.

audioscrobbler.com + xbmc = happy kids!

my script still in dev... so if i upload it everywhere, it will become harder and harder to give help to users and to take you feelings about it...
i will try to put it downloadable without registrations...

problem is that so many people just want to take what they find and don't give feedbacks about what they use... so sad...

anyway, i changed it... not really sure if it is a good idea or not... Huh

great script. i ended up getting it off the gueux.be stream site. i tried changing the language once but when i clicked on "francais" nothing happened. what is the login id/password used for exactly? i guess i need to look that up..

looking forward to future enhancements

hi !
official website for my xstreampack (xsp) script is :
http://xstreampack.free.fr
i do my best to keep it both french and english languages.
nobody (or few) post on my forum... no questions ?... lol i don't think so !

what version do you have ? the last version is 1.1beta. normally the language change should work on this version (it didn't work on the v1beta.
login and password are not used yet. it will be used to add more features on xbmc. (reporting, give a mark whether you like a stream or not, report uggly/not 'ethique' links, aso...)

I'd love to test and give feedback on your streampack but it appears the site is dead. Sad

Yes.

Streams were referenced on a website, but the webmaster became very nasty and started to put advertising everywere.... So our provider decided to close the website.

this website closed, my XSP script was not able to run anymore as they were totally working together.

So I decided to close the website dedicated to XSP script.
