Can't install addons on new system
#1
Hello folks,

I ran into some trouble with my new Ubuntu LL installation.

I installed Dharma Beta 2, but I am unable to install any add-ons.

Here is my debug log:

http://pastebin.com/C3hwWGWy

When I select any addon I want to install and hit Install, xbmc freezes shortly. Afterwards it keeps desplaying 0% Donwload progress.

It behaves also quite unresponsive when I want to go back to home menu and leave xbmc (hangs for around 20 Seconds)

Please help!

Looks like you don't have access to the zip files for some reason (timeout on the download). Can you download them via a webbrowser on the same machine?
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Okay,

I don't know exactly how to download the zip files, but I tried this:

Code:
19:48:28 T:3025996656 M:1557970944   ERROR: Open - failed to open source <http://mirrors.xbmc.org/addons/dharma-pre/addons.xml.md5>

and it works fine in my browser.

From what I see, there is a huge mess in my log:

Code:
19:48:05 T:3079391104 M:1579925504   DEBUG: Loading: /usr/lib/xbmc/system/libcpluff-i486-linux.so
19:48:06 T:3079391104 M:1580142592    INFO: ADDON: cpluff: 'Could not read plug-in directory /usr/lib/xbmc/addons: No such file or directory'

Just to name one of many Errors. The file is definitly there and readable.

What is going on hereHuh Please help!!!
