I've gone back and swapped my devices to using the built-in XBMC configs and it works fine for video but here's the weird thing it sometimes plays navigation sounds and other times doesn't!

There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

My hdmisound works if i send the video thru dvi but not if i send both thru hdmi?

gt220 / Ubuntu maverick / Dharma xbmc

Tried to add my own sound devices under system/sound in xbmc and it worked, with surround and everything.

i use plughw:1,7 instead of hdmi or default or whatever....

do a aplay -l in the terminal to find out what your nvidia card number is.

and it worked with plughw:1,7 Thought I would contribute. Just a note, you need to make sure you switch from Analog to HDMI
