Turtle Beach Micro II - 5.1 sound in Windows?

I just got my Turtle Beach Micro II in the mail. I plugged it in, set it as the primary audio device, and connected it to my Dolby Digital/DTS capable receiver via Toslink optical cable.

However, XBMC says "failed to initialize audio device" any time I try to play a DVD with 5.1 sound.

From reading other threads, I thought this device could do ac3 passthrough, but it doesn't seem to be working. I can't get 5.1 sound out of any media players, just 2 channel.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
BradVido

I can't help you, other than to say that the dongle itself definitely supports 5.1 pass through - I have one myself, but I'm using linux.

Figured it out. You need to go to their website and get an additional driver to enable Dolby.
