Hi all, I've been reading through for weeks now looking for solves to my issue but cannot seem to find one. Time to Post.
I'm building two LIVE systems and having the exact same problem on both. One is a Revo r3610 which previously had 9.11 on it with no issue. The other is an ER1401 which is a similar system.
I've tried Beta 4 official release, Rc1 Official and XBMCFreaks releases and Rc2 XBMCFreaks release. Same issue on all.
Firstly, despite consulting this guide: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=86057 - and using the steps there - I can't get XBMC installer to run off a fresh USB stick. I get the problem where you are asked for the CD - I've used the workaround here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=626...stcount=10
On installing XBMC through this method for some reason there is no option to set your username/password for the system - it seems to default to xbmc/xbmc which is OK - but why is this step now skipped without option?
Next, once XBMC is installed the system boots to the Splash Screen of XBMC with the loading dots - but it doesnt look right - as if there is only 2 shades of grey?
After loading it boots only to the tty1 shell. On switching to tty7 all I have is a black screen (nothing there).
I have attempted various guides of re-installing the nvidia drivers but there is no difference.
Am I the only one with these problems? This seems to be much harder to setup this time when I thought it would be easier.
If anyone can guide me I'd be really appreciative - I'm totally lost.
