Hi,

I tried the mysql support that is in the application but I'm not sure what it is supposed to do? At first, I was thinking it was to replace the symlink but it didn't worked that way as I had to scan my folder anyway. Can somebody explain what it is supposed to do?

In the same config section, there is a place to configure the thumbnails. I tried it but it didn't create anything in the listed folder. Is this only use when a file is archived to counteract the fact that the hash is changing?

Can I ask how people are managing the thumbnails for a multi-box setup? Is there a way to configure XBMC to use a shared folder for these? I've looked around without success up to now. Ideally, I would like to be able to use the SageTV central fanart folder but as it may not be possible, I would at least want a shared folder for XBMC's fanart.

when I increase the info-level to "debug" i can see that the connection to mysql is reported as sucess but it still snycs "0" videos - how is this part of the software working ? What am I doing wrong ?

It's not syncing anything because it's not finding any videos in the dropbox (the place where videos are stored and added to XBMC's library). Do you have videos in your configured dropbox folder?

I have 4 XBMC boxes all using central fanart and MySQL. Create a share somewhere that is always available and replace the Thubmnails directory on all XBMC boxes with a symlink that points to that share. They they stay automatically sync'd.

Check the /res/xbmcFileSources.txt file. That contains all of the files that this program has processed and knows about (and will sync). It is basically a map between the original sagetv location and the XBMC archived location.

ah.. this file is empty - i get the symlinks but i have no entries in this file. no error msg either..

There must have been some errors when the files are first archived. If you can send me a log of when the program archives a new file, i could tell you what's going in.

Yes, I didn't do any localization for this program.

However, I am writing some updates for this program to be compatible with eden. I'll add a German support hack for this.

In the meantime, you may be stuck. Sorry, I didn't have time to localize the strings

@bradvido88: no need for any sadness - i'm happy anyway with your software - the worst thing would be i install an english version of win7 in a virtualbox and run your software there..

Yes, if all of your sources are set up as shares, then you can run this program on any Windows7 box on your local network. There is no need to run it on the SageTV server.
