Best case to go with the Zotac ION N330 ?
#1
Hi Guys,

New here! I'm a keen user of XBMC and have decided to replace my desktop PC with a micro PC for my media centre.

I was looking at getting the Acer Revo, but I thought it would be better value for money to perhaps build my own!

The Zotac ION N330 looks like an amazing motherboard, but I've had a good look around and cannot find any cases that clearly fit it!

What do you guys use?

I'm hoping to get one which will accommodate a 3.5" hard drive. Finding one of these which does not have an internal PSU seems to be impossible.

Cheers,

Wigl Smile

This is a great case and it supports motherboards w/ mini itx form factor. Its a great looking case and its about the same size as a stereo receiver. It should defiantly fit in with the rest of your hardware.

That one won't fit a 3.5 inch HD, but it seems to be a pretty much perfect case otherwise. The big question then becomes "Why do you need a HD inside?" A 2.5inch SSD makes a MUCH better OS drive for XBMC and it would fit in that case perfectly.

I got one of those and it's really a fine piece of hardware.

Only issue: The remote and display are quite hard to install...not physically, but the windows drivers....woo...not that nice Wink

Money doesn't grow on trees i'm afraid haha Tongue

Cannot afford an SSD! I have ordered the case I mentioned above though from overclockers UK for £50 ($78) - ordered the Zotac motherboard for £130 ($204)

Then I've got a 500GB 2.5" 7200RPM HDD at home that I'll use in there with 4GB RAM.

Thanks for your help guys Smile

What home media servers do you use for streaming across your network?

I'm looking at buying the Netgear MS2000 - sound good to you?

I have a 16 bay home built Unraid server personally. If you aren't gonna be downloading HD content that Netgear looks fine...
