Has anyone had any luck setting up this specific machine with any version of XBMC Live?

With Camelot I've had many problems with audio over hdmi.

With Dharma rc2 I've had less problems with audio over hdmi (still some problems) but I've also had problems with samba shares.

I've read that there are issues with the ION2 drivers and maybe also something to do with ALSA?

ive done it with both Camelot & RC2 on a revo 1600... its buggy, but most of them you can fix with a lot of reading and editing conf files
