X4 seems cool, but I'm having a hard time finding any deals for it.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5S-2GBNT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820231203
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX250OCGMBOX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103903
Under $155 shipped... up it to 4GB for another $30.
Nice thing with the motherboard is that it has HDMI, optical 8ch sound, gigabit, and 4 memory slots. This CPU also has plenty of processing power and is 65W to keep power consumption and heat to a minimum.

The Athlon II 255 Regor was $5.00 off at the local canadacomputer.com store near my gym, so I grabbed one
I plan on adding an Nvidia GPU later on, whenever it goes on sale.

advice?
compcentral Wrote:That is also a viable option, but that will add significantly to the overall cost. Remember this will require a more expensive ITX case and power supply to go with it.
