Installed Skin - How do I get original back?
#1
I installed a skin (just experimenting) but now it's stuck and I can't get it to scroll or anything. How do I get it back to the original skin that came with it?

Thanks!

Settings > Appearance > Skin
Code:
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `xbmc_%`.* TO 'xbmc'@'%';
IF you have a mysql problem, find one of the 4 dozen threads already open.

I can't get to that screen anymore. I installed the "shade" skin or something like that. Now, I can't get to the settings since it won't let me scroll through menus now. I have SSH'd in to see if I can find out where the current skin is stored. Then, I'll try and reset it there unless anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks!

guisettings.xml, then either delete it or edit it - the bit to change is pretty obvious.

it's in your userdata folder.
the location depends on what os you're running,
so check the wiki: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=The...ata_Folder

note: you have to exit xbmc before editing this file.

once you find the file, look for this line:
<skin>skin.shade</skin>
and change to
<skin>skin.confluence</skin>

save the file and start xbmc again.

1 - quit xbmc
2 - open this file: /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/guisettings.xml
3 - find the line that starts with: <skin>
4 - change this line to: <skin>skin.confluence</skin>
5 - save the file and start xbmc

Which skin do you use?
I don't like Confluence that much but i do not want to try another one.
Back Row didn't work for me on the iPad. Is there anything else than Confluence that is usable on an iPad?

Skins not explicitly stated as iOS compatible should be probably prevented from installing on iOS. Probably better to have one functional (for starters), then several with navigation inadequate for iOS. ATV2 should probably be OK, as it uses remote.
My skins:

Amber
Quartz
