I'm thinking about replacing my Dreambox DM800 TV-Receiver and AppleTV with one Device running XBMC-PVR.
First toughts are an ION-based fanless (or silent) barebone/nettop with an usb-dvb-s2 card. (or maybe to and 1 dedicated for streaming within the flat)
Has anybody already tried something like this?
Is Windows or Linux the better base (so tvheadeded/vdr vs. mythtv)?
edit: since my appletv has a crystalhd card maybe I can use the appletv as 2in1 device with an external usb receiver? (on linux)
