All, thanks for the help. I'm new to the forum, so please forgive my newbieness. I've been searching for a while, but haven't been able to find and answer to this one.
I just bought an AppleTV1 and installed XBMC. Everything was working well till I watched a .mkv file off of my network. While I was trying to tweak settings, the system froze (black screen). So I waited for a while and then unplugged. When it booted again, the OS came up just find, however, my Apple Remote doesn't work. The little light blinks when I use it, but it doesn't respond in any way.
The forum talks about the guisettings.xml file and all of that, but it doesn't explain simple ssl commands to perhaps restart these services or what not. Is there anyone who can possibly enlighten me on how to get this remote up and running again? Thanks for the help!
