[AppleTV2] Updating Library on startup exits XBMC
#1
Hi,

I have configured everything and now I've added a movie source which is a UPnP Server. I said it should update the library on every startup. What I am experiencing now is, that after 10 to 30 seconds XBMC crashes. I am not shure wether this has something to do with the library update, but it looks like, because before that I could browse without problems.

The log file isn't very helpful here, even in Debug Mode, the last outputs are:
Code:

However, between the end of the logs and the crash / exit there are about 10 to 20 seconds, where it doesn't produce any output at all.

//EDIT:
I just DID find something in the syslog of the apple tv! It seems like the apple tv is running out of memory:
Feb 1 06:59:08 AppleTV /Applications/AppleTV.app/AppleTV[531]: LTSBS: Got OS memory notifcation: level 1
Feb 1 06:59:13 AppleTV /Applications/AppleTV.app/AppleTV[531]: LTSBS: Got OS memory notifcation: level 2

Any idea on how to prevent this from happening?

Best regards,
Michael

I am having this problem also. Sometimes I can actually start watching a video, but it happens fairly quickly. And it is constant. I can't get through 5 minutes without it happening.

Have you turned off 'extract thumbnails' in the setttings? It might be 'generate thumbnails' I can't remember exact wording.
