Hey guys,
Me like everybody else is having HDMI audio issues on ASrock Ion 330 with the Dharma upgrade on a full ubuntu install on XBMC.
I check alsamixer and nothing is muted. I upgraded to the newest nvidia driver since people said there was issues with the 19xxx ones.
I also check my audio devices and set xbmc to custom output and pass through of hw:0,3 for both. Still got the failed to initiate audio settings message. The only thing that sort of worked was setting the sound card to nothing in linux and letting xbmc taking care of the audio. By doing that Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 work great. Yet any other audio types like mp3 tracked or aac 5.1 all fail to initialize.
Any idea why this is? Help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy.
