Archive.org streaming audio script?
#1
archive.org maintains a very extensive archive of music (http://www.archive.org/audio/etree.php). one of the primary sections is the etree.org live music archive, and many of the concerts are available in streaming format. it is also possible to limit the listing of only streaming shows (http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelistin...p?mode=mp3).

in looking at some of the other available scripts, i would think that creating one that lists each artist, concert date, and audio stream would be relatively easy for an experienced scripter. i am unable to even know where to start, to doing this myself, hence this thread.

is there anyone out there who may be interested in taking this on? am i far off base in thinking it would not be a difficult task to accomplish?

i think having this available would be a very valuable project to many.

hi !:
while waiting for a script, i can recommend my script :
http://xstreampack.free.fr
which will browse our stream database ( http://xbmc-stream.gueux.be/test/pcstream )
you can fill our database with stream links you like, then they will be available on my script xsp on your xbox

I found the script (can't remember where as the links listed are dead) and the script only functioned halfway... All of the artists and subfolders would display but the folders were empty. Any suggestions?

I wrote the original one, but haven't had the time to fix it. If anyone wants to work on it they're welcome to check it out of my svn or the official xbmc addons svn.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search and search the forum before posting.
