first of all i'd like to thank all of you for making xbmc the best dash for xbox. here's a little feature request:

ok, i have now had the time to test this, and i'm sorry to say that it's not working. every time i try to open a playlist made with wmp 10 i get a message telling there was an error and that xbmc couldn't load the playlist.

do you want me to fill in an error report and/or give more spesific information? it really isn't much more to say... at logging level 2 nothing is logged.

what source are you using the playlist from? smb?

edit: i have fixed a bug when using it from a network share. if you are not using it from a network share, please upload a sample playlist here.

Hate to bump this ol' thread but is .wpl files still supported in the current build?
I can't get it to work. Its a plain .wpl file, not a dynamic playlist. It has been created by WMP11.

So I were just wondering if it was a problem in my setup, or an obsolete feature.
AnyoneHuh?

It should still be working, but probably noone uses them, so it may well have fallen by the wayside.

Either that or Microsoft has done what they always do and "enhanced" the format so that it's no longer backward compatible.

In either case, we'd need an example file that doesn't work.

xbmc has evolved into an intelligent media player with a builtin taste filter that hinders nickelback from being replayed Tongue
