any way to get xbmc to control ac3, or 5.1 levels to the amp? dont want to use another remote.. thnks. getting passthru in use message.

What remote are you using to control your amp? Is it the original?

i just turn the amp up half way and use the wireless keyboard to turn it up and down thru xbmc, but with passthru audio, it does not give the option to turn up and down thru xbmc..

Oh I see....the reason I was asking, Why not have your remote... control the amp AND the PC, in case your remote was like a universal remote, harmony,etc.
