stacking and sorting
#1
I have my movie collection organised with one directory per title:

Movies/Title (year)/title.part1.avi
/title.part2.avi

or

Movies/Title (year)/VIDEO_TS/

I use stacking in file view. That works great, especially for directories with VIDEO_TS. But I have a problem with sorting. Directories with a single movie file will be listed alphabetically according to directory name (= movie title). But directories with stacked parts will drop to the end of the list, after Z.

How can I force XBMC to keep a strict alphabetical list (movie title) when stacking?

Sort by File?

When sort by file all directories that contain a VIDEO_TS sub-directory will end up between u en w in file view. It seems they are sorted as v.

With sort by name those directories end up after z. I can't explain that.

Is there a way to force alphabetical sorting of directories (disregarding directory contents) when stacking?

No. The new "files in library" feature in git head takes care of that, however.
