I'm running an Acer Revo with Windows 7, running XBMC 10.1. (4GB RAM, Intel SSD). It all worked fine for quite some time, but recently it starting giving me HORRIBLE video playback. It stutters, lags, etc. I can play the video fine through VLC in Windows, but when I load the same video through XBMC, it plays like hardware acceleration is disabled. It's not, but I disabled it and tried playing it, plays the same (ie, crappy). Restarted XBMC, turned hardware acceleration back on, restarted, verified it stayed on with the hardware acceleration still on, tried to play the file, still plays like crap. Anyone have any thoughts/ideas? It might have started around the upgrade to 10.1 from 10.0. But I'm not sure.

I have already updated the Nvidia drivers, and even reverted to older drivers to try, still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

We need a debug log: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_file

Try turning on this setting in Video Settings>Playback

Adjust display refresh rate to match video
