Why do I have a few add-ons that state they are broken, if that is the case why can't I uninstall them?.

Really......does no one know the answer not even a developer of the broken addon?

You should be able to uninstall anything other than system addons (which shouldn't be broken).
What addons can't you uninstall?

I think he got it wrong:
In the Addon-Browser-List you get a "Broken" if the Add-On is known to cause misbehaviour. This will be shown even though you do not actually have the Add-On installed. Thus you cannot uninstall it, as it is not installed.
