Back to Back update on FireFox add-on. new v0.3 that has context menu item for PlayIt. Just do right click and select PlayIt item. No need to open the web page.

Go and get it now: http://code.google.com/p/apple-tv2-xbmc/downloads/list

Let me know how it works.
Updated Safari Extension for PlayIt with same new feature of context menu item. Just do right click and select PlayIt on XBMC, no need to open the web page. If you had latest version of Safari Extension, you will get update automatically.
Pretty slick on the firefox updates man. Thanks! Too bad the buffering on YouTube is almost unbearable right now. Ya know, if you made a shell extension for windows that did that so I could just keepvid what I wanted to watch and right click on it...Wink jk

The video quality can be adjusted for PlayIt using its settings available through Settings->Addon->Enabled Addons-> Services->PlayIt->Settings

Well XBMC has got very good network protocols enabled that you could use in such cases. Using PlayIt for local videos will need streaming server on your local machine which is similar to XBMC network options.
I'll check my settings but even though speedtest tells me I am getting 36 down, YouTube is sucking out on everything right now. Even in browser. Damn Comcast is probably throttling me.

I forgot all about PlayIt. Thanks for the reminder!
Last but not the least, Chrome add-on with context menu item updated. If unable to get update automatically that is mostly likely going to happen because chrome doesn't like external websites.. I hate it.
Here is the direct URL to chrome extension:

really nice addon, you have build there! Big Grin
It's very comfortable sitting on the couch and playing videos you search with the laptop.

If I could suggest something it would be this:

When I surf on the web, it would be nice to have the possibility to save video URLs for later watching in XBMC. Could you maybe add an option to "Watch this later" to the browser addons, which would create a video playlist in XBMC? Maybe Pocket can be used as the source.

What do you and the other users think about this?

PS: If there is already a solution for this, it would be nice if someone could give a the name of the addon.

Firstly thanks for suggestion!!

How to do PlayIt action on pocket videos:
1. Open Pocket web version. Then filter by video items.
2. Right click on any video.
3. Select PlayIt on XBMC. thats it Smile After adding context menu item. things are simple.

Since Pocket already provides an awesome extension to save URL quickly, I don't feel like creating another addon with same feature will really help. Now as we have got context menu item of PlayIt, your videos in pocket can be used easily. I think if you can create a video for this whole process, others can use it as well.
Thanks ajay. Smile

What I would like to have is a global "watch later list", where I can add videos from everywhere (Android ("Send to PlayIt"), browser) and play it later on xbmc. But I guess, this is the wrong place to ask for something like this as your addon's purpose is to play things instantly. We pretty much need a Pocket XBMC addon to watch items of the list.

By the way: Would it be possible to add Vimeo support?
Yes, we need a video add-on for pocket. I will see if I can work on it.

Vimeo is fixed.
How can i install aj repository? Can't seem to find it in the folder Aj addons

It is there under aj addons-> services... If aj addons is empty, do force refresh. Force refresh is available under context menu of aj addons
