i had also Q190 Celeron, using open elec , controling by my iPad mini. It works nice , but it is too noisy. That is why I gave it to my mum to use it for her work. If Lenovo make silent box with more powerfull processor it will be great, but probably we have towait few years for new generation CPUs.
$150 + tax, free shipping at Lenovo right now.

Not that I need another PC, but what the heck. $150 is basically the cost of Win 8.1 + a stick of DDR3 these days.
I was just going to post this. Really good deal.
Another good deal for our American cousins. We don't get these sorts of deals in the UK.
Now that's a deal!
That's a very good deal, I did pay much more almost 2 years ago.
Not really a great deal given how much hardware has decreased in price in the last couple of years. So you've be paying $150 for something that has the 2 generation old Intel Ivy Bridge chipset that has the 23.976Hz bug, when you could pay slightly more for a Haswell Celeron box such as a HP Stream Mini with no 23.976Hz bug.

The price went back up to $250.00 so it's not a great deal now.
Today the Lenovo Q 190 went back on sale for $149.99 (from the lenovo site)and sold out within 1 hour...... But maybe it might come back Tomorrow early in the morning.
The unit is the $274.99 model and you use the coupon code is: QSALE319 will get you $130.00 off making it $149.99
I've been itching for Lenovo to make a newer version of this machine. I've got one, and it's been great save for a fan replacement, but I'd love to have something with a bit more oomph. Given all the offers with this machine over the last few weeks on both the US and UK sites, my guess is something is about to hit...
After several months of not using my HTPC I returned to it and now with w new TV (65" Panasonic VT60 Smile ) and a new AVR and audio!
There are two issues which might be related to my Q190 (Celeron 1017U) running Openelec with latest KODI.
1. When I play a movie with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 track the audio disapears for half a second (the AVR looses the signal) every now and than (the time is not fixed but I would say anywhere between 20sec to 1 minute). Playing TrueHD 5.1 is not a problem (I didnt try DTS HD 7.1)
2. Is there ANY WAY I can play BluRay 3D ISO file in 3D and not in 2D? When I try to play it in 3D I get a message that my BluRay player doesnt support 3D...
Thanks,
Evgeny
Picked one up secondhand for EUR90, not too bad. Only thing is the previous owner upgraded to Windows 10 and Kodi doesn't seem to want to run on it. Would rolling back to Windows 8.1 be a solid plan?
Just run OpenElec off a USB. That's my setup.

I have that all installed now but there doesn't seem to be any audio coming through it on the downstairs television. Was working upstairs.
Force the audio settings to "Fixed 2.0 channels 48000 hz"
