I guess not many animation types are left to do now, the only things I could think of were like a shaking/vibrate animation for elements to call attention to themselves, and er...maybe... lighting? like let elements become brighter or darker depending on conditions.
I think a testement to xbmc's amazing skinning engine that I can only think of lame idea's, all the good ones are done
There will always be lots of possible animation effects left
Right now JM has most of the 2D linear stuff covered + fading + some cool 3D stuff. But there is always
Nonlinear ones like ripples / springy
3D distortions like spherize, cylinders, etc
Effects like Hue/Brightness
It would be interesting to have different elements mapped someway onto parts of a 3D model..
Hi Jezz_X. Any likely hood of adding the new style wraplist to PMIII? It seems logically as the angled covers allow more albums to be visible on screen at once. It would be a real boon to us 4:3 users. Cheers.

I tried and its not really doable until I can set a camera position for each 3d control because as soon as I move it off the dead center of the screen the angles all go messy

Ah... I understand..... is this something thats likely to be added at some point (camera position for each 3D control) ?
Maybe you could have the side panel slide off screen in a similar way to your Classic skin giving you more real estate and the centre of the screen.
Perhaps that would stray too far from the original PMIII model, I dunno....

I sure hope that the camera angle side of this skinning-engine feature is still being worked on(?), I have to say I REALLY LOVE everything Apple done with all their "
Cover Flow" eye-candy feature in their skin...
http://www.apple.com/itunes/jukebox/coverflow.html
Apple TV - Cover Flow under the music-section (non-centered album-covers):
Apple TV - Cover Flow under the video-section (DVD-covers):
Apple TV - Cover Flow under the pictures-section ("My Pictures"):
Apple TV - Cover Flow under their YouTube function (maybe XBMC could enable this under
python scripts via
WindowXML?)
Apple TV also have a very nice photo screen-saver which is based on the Cover Flow concept.
Basically photos from your library (or your album art collection) slowly scroll up the screen in different 3D planes, and then every 30 seconds or so, they do a quick 3D "swirl," ending back in their original location. A low-quality video of the screen saver in action can be found on YouTube here:

I agree with Gamester. I would love to see Apple TV's coverflow techniques. Especially in the iTV skin

Is there another iTV clone out there, or are you talking about xtV?
Sounds like jmarshallnz is work on the camera settings...
"Build 9594
added: <camera x="50" y="100" /> tag to controls and windows to allow setting of different camera positions for the 3D rotations. Also fixed rotatey to scale correctly as it rotates."

If thats at me I'm well aware of the work being done
I am a team member after all
Wasn't at you particularly
, just a general horrah! I love eye candy is the truth of the matter. I can sit just flicking thru albums now in Xbox-Classic going oooh ahhh lol
But really tho, if it wasn't for xbmc (it's convenience) I wouldn't have listened to half as much music as I have in the last couple of years. Good stuff...
looks sweet,
That does look better on the xbox with jmarshalls AA addition.
Ok JMarshall, your turn to edit
Neither of those have AA applied.
