so how to fix that?

Did you install the optional updates when you installed kodi?
You can search this forum for that error message and get some pointers - but it mostly seems to be on older versions of Windows, potentially on older versions of Kodi. Searching Google suggests that it's perhaps a Windows error, specifically a buggy library, but I've not dug deep.

As a start, try moving to Kodi 16.1 or even one of the 17.0 betas, see if that helps. And, if Kodi starts at all, or seems to, try switching debug logging on and get a log file, that may also be useful (system information, for example).

no.
I see that I click ok in the message
& run again the kodi
so, that this message isn't returns.
so, it's it shows that it's problem are fixed?
You might consider updating your version of Kodi. We're looking for a proper debug log posted to a public paste-bin and that URL linked back to this thread.
what version of kodi?
17 isn't finished

You said you have 16.0, but latest stable is 16.1. Maybe you just mistyped, but 16.1 is latest. Install that, make sure you choose the additional windows updates (MSVC??) when installing. Then http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy

At least 16.1 (latest stable)

But it could be better to try 17 beta because I think there will be no more bug fixing on 16.1
My mistake
I have version 16.1.
so
so how to fix that?
& how to prevent it for next time?
thank

Do you have the required C++ libraries installed? Latest drivers installed? What is your system, what kind of vid card? If you can't even get into kodi, follow this: http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced#...ttings.xml
That will enable debug logging so you can upload the log to pastebin and then give us the link.
"Do you have the required C++ libraries installed?"
How do I know?

"Latest drivers installed"
what drivers?

"What is your system?"
windows 10 home, 64 bit

"what kind of video card?"
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

& I can get into kodi

so, what next?

1. If kodi opens, then yes you have them.
2. ALL drivers. Your sound card, vid card, motherboard.....etc etc
3. If you can get into kodi then send us a debug log as mentioned earlier.
my drivers
video card
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

sound card
RealtekĀ® ALC887 codec
Others are identified automatically
motherboard
gigabyte H81M-S2PV

Others drivers are identified automatically from the computer

"send us a debug log as mentioned earlier"

How easily do it?
