I believe this is a bug and it is very annoying.

I have Kodi running on a MacMini with Windows on it. The MacMini is connected to a LG TV using HDMI.
To reproduce the problem, here are the steps:

Turn on machine with Kodi;
Turn on TV;
Wait for Kodi to initialize;
Turn Off TV;
Turn On TV

Kodi will be automatically resized, in my case to half of its site (Original Size full screen - 1920x1080 - New Size 1280x720).
To "fix" the problem, I simple go to Settings - System Settings - Display. "Use full screen window" is already selected with the 1920x1080 size even knowing that the actual size was changed somehow to 1280x720 but I need to unselect and select it again to go back to how it should be looks like.

Here is some debug logs

[PatK] please do not clog the forum with oh'so boring logs, use a public Pastebin as noted!
Have a look at this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-bandw...Protection

When you switch off the TV handshaking is dropped, Kodi display goes default and doesn't recheck and recalibrate to auto dimensions when TV is turned on. Solutions display (wiki) pin #19 of your HDMI cable or simply shut down Kodi first and restart after TV is on (batch file anyone?) alternately see this thread https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=158432

Not enough people spoke up against this, so industry has adopted HDCP in it's interconnects.

Thanks for that. It makes sense.
I will do some research to get that Pin off or maybe try something different.
