Question, does it crash the instant you hit record? When you restart kodi is there a recording on the backend?
When I hit the "RECORD" button a submenu appears, I can select the length of the recording, and after I select any item on that menu, KODI crashes. There is NO recording started on the STB.

Ah, ok. I think this might be the cause. I've never had a menu appear it just records. The instant recordings are set to "Record current show (if guide data available)" on my kodi. I never even knew you could change this.
Let's see if the new version works. If not, the new logging might give more clues.
Ok. Thanx for Your time! Will report back after testing new version!
v4.9.1 and v 3.28.2 released:
- Fixed: Use correct start time for EPG lookup when adding timer
- Fixed: strncpy fix possible length fault
Did you try changing the instant recordings to not display a menu?
Just curious.
Yes. Same resoult
Kodi closes also when I try to set recording from epg browser ...
This happens only in my win x86 installations.
Ok, I’ll do another PR just with logging so we can try and track this down.
v3.28.3 released
- Added: Epg lookup debug logging - When adding timer
@
