Hmm.
I just checked my spam folder and found an activation email! Cheers for the heads up!! Smile
When running as admin (shoulda from the start i know), selecting an artist in the left pane gets me;

Dunno if these exceptions are useful to ya, wont clutter the thread with any more unless you request them.
I see your already working on the one issue I found.

Great app so far man! Thanks for all the hard work.

sorry i wasn't expecting all that!
Ran into my first problem in importing my music folder. I get a .NET error when i get to a folder that has non-english characters (in this case, Japanese characters for an anime soundtrack). Pasted .net crash details are at the link below. It gives me the option to "continue", but clicking it just sends me back to the program and stops the import.

Thoughts?
Here is what I am getting when I start up with 0.11 alpha

Windows 7 x64

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Tried using the AudioMatic and ran into some basic problems:
1) My structure varies:
MyMusic
Artist1
Album
etc...
Artist2
Album
etc...
Artist3
Album
Bootlegs
More Albums

Does Audio-Matic support subfolders? IE Bootleg folders for concerts?
Do I select other when it asks for the structure?

2) I have about 150,000+ files, this is going to take a long time to load up. Any way to speed it up? The DB performance is killing me.

Good Program so far!!!!
It only found about 10 of my 100+ artist in my collection. I will post the errors later but took me about 1 hour to scan as I had to keep hitting continue as other have already explained (win7 64)
I think that posting the exceptions at this point is pretty useless - as compcentral already mentionend he noticed these errors and will release a new alpha-version which will handle all of this a little bit better.

Keep in mind: This is a HIGHLY experiemental alpha-build - BACKUP YOUR MUSIC FILES BEFORE YOU START USING IT!

You have to EXPECT that errors are rolling in on a regular basis. If you post the exception however, please use a service like pastebin in order to keep the thread clean an viewable.

I also want to appel to everyone who already posted the errors: Please edit your post in order to use something like pastebin, it will make this much more comfortable for everyone.
I have been unable to log in. I have activated my account, but when I log in it just returns me to the home screen stating i'm logged in as guest.

oops, that did the trick, thanks Smile
Okay... Wow..

I was expecting some issues, but apparently I have more work to do than I thought. I just got back from my day job, so I will be coding some fixes tonight and releasing another bug-fix release sometime tonight. Thank you to everyone that took the time to detail the problems they've had. Please refrain from posting anything further until I've had the chance to first take a look at those first.

For those that have had problems logging in to the website, please make sure you've activated your account by clicking the link in the activation email. You can also try resetting your password using the "forgot password" link on the website. If neither of these work, try clearing your session cookies or logging in using another web browser. If you have problems beyond that, PM me with your username, password, and email address and I will get you taken care of.

Thanks to everyone for your patience.
