But i can't do my own full research in the Kodi HDR Edition thread and according GitHub. All my existing time is already spent on the other stuff. :-)
Side question: Why even use HDR passthrough? madVR HDR tone mapping should be always better anyway.
I actually hoping MADSHI can put a force BT2020 flag in somewhere into MADVR or at least add an option to use the windows API instead of AMD's own broken API, he's very busy trying to get ENVY out of the door but he acknowledges the issue and I think he knows how to do it.
Anything you can do would be appreciated but like you say, it will have to go on the backburner for now as you have other stuff which is more pressing, totally understand mate.

Could you take a look at the linked skin and tell me if you would be interested in me adding a similar 21:9 masking feature like ScopeNox to the skin? I can't rework the skin to be a "complete full 21:9 width skin" due to time reasons, but this somehow simpler 21:9 helper-feature i would be willing to implement if you have the need for it.
As far as i can see this feature just helps to block out all the screen content outside your 21:9 projector screen.
But just take a look at the skin first. If the skin maybe is not for you i don't need to add the feature. :-)
Scopenox is the only 21:9 skin out there and unfortunately the original developer stopped as well. Someone is trying to continue , but there are still quite some bugs in it.
So every other 21:9 skin is more then welcome. Unfortunately now one is willing to add a that 21:9 support. I guess you know as well as i do , that the beamers display in 16:9 , but lots of the Screens are 21:9 , and it just doesn't add up. I am actually quite surprised no one else has ever tried to make a 21:9 skin.
Will take a look right now on your skin and let you know my thoughts.

Achieving this result would be required first, because this would be the foundation on which i would base my simple 21:9 features on. Thanks.

Uhm. Since i never looked for it, i was kind of irritated that similar results can also be achieved by the simple Setting -> Interface -> Skin -> Zoom -> -26%

This maybe means we don't have to use the other settings from the screenshot. Please still test it - you never know...
I'll brainstorm some ideas for some VideoOSD toggles for some 21:9 helper mask presets

I thought the default skin supported it as well. because I used to use a 21:9 ultra wide monitor and it .. if i remember correctly, scaled correctly.

Thanks, never liked the old Kodi look with the horizontal menu, try to stay away from those skins.
There is an option for a vertical menu, but I haven't used it much.

Has anyone information about why someone would use EVR Video Renderer instead of madVR Video Renderer renderer in a DSPlayer setup? I never could get it to show any video and wonder if it still has any users today...

Hello,
I used it with pixelshaders in my filters. I stopped following the black screen problems when I started the video.
By going to windowed mode then again in full screen mode the reading is correct.

Hi, didnt some people state that some of the streaming plugins didnt work with MADVR or something?, if not I tend to agree its not really required.

- how to specify blu-ray content in the rule, so blu-ray rips will also be played in dsplayer?

Look at the typical Kodi help text at the bottom when you hover over a setting.
The example rule which can be created by the helper opens these file types with DSPlayer
mkv|mp4|mov|avi|wmv|flv|mpg|mpeg
This should already include the content you mentioned. What file type (extension) is your content?
If you really want to open everything with DSPLayer (which i would NOT recommend), you can change the rule in regards of the above quoted file types string to:
.
(just a simple dot. That's a wildcard in this type of regexp input field. Don't use a * That would be wrong.)

Guess the hoover help text disappeared on my black masking (using projector).
I am not sure what to put in there when a blu-ray 1:1 rip is played as it uses a index file, play list files and stream files all together to play a movie... So wildcard will be fine for me, never encountered something that did not want to play in dsplayer.

No problem. Ah, allright. You mean rip in the sense of a 1:1 iso image (just in extracted folder form).
Help texts are what you see here at the bottom. They are shown almost identical in every skin.
