I simply use the backup addon in the official Kodi repo. Can backup everything..uninstall Kodi and restore everything exactly the way I had it upon backing up. Maybe try this route.

Check to see if there's anything suspicious in your log file.

So far, I don’t see anything out of the ordinary. There is no error and I don’t see a request for an image, not sure what’s going on if this isn’t a setting. I tried re-installing as well and still nothing. Any guidance would be appreciated. I tested Arctic Horizon 2 and it loaded background images right away.

Just playing around with this skin and was wondering if there's a way to exclude movies from a Trakt list. Of all the Netflix Top 10 playlists I looked at on Trakt there was only one that matched the Top 10 on actual Netflix. Unfortunately that playlist combines Top 10 Movies with Top 10 Shows. Is there a way (either via Trakt or Arctic Fuse) to exclude the movies from this list to pull just the shows into a widget? I thought about using Skin Variables and using the custom exclude filter, but not how to set this up using that method. Thanks

Anyone have any thoughts on this issue? Much appreciated.

Can anyone give me a better understanding of what (pseudo profiles are) ? Please and thank you beforehand.

I haven't really used either profile type so I may be wrong on some of this so happy to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable. My understanding is that with regular Kodi profiles each user has their own general Kodi settings, addons and skins etc whereas a pseudo profile allows multiple users via the skin (but this would run on a single Kodi profile), meaning all Kodi settings, addons will be the same for all pseudo users. The benefit of pseudo users is that it is quicker and more seamless to change users compared to regular Kodi profiles (which can take a while to load all settings/addons/skins when changing user). However with pseudo users, you are limited to using the same Trakt account as every pseudo user is sharing the same addons/Kodi settings. I imagine you can still set up different widgets/lists for each pseudo user but it would all be linked to a single login for Trakt/TMDB etc. Hope that helps

Yeah been asking for that since AH2. Look pretty bad for certain language

Hey!

I answered this over at GitHub:
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.fuse/issues/873#issuecomment-2113444128

Also make sure to read Jurial’s comment below about git to automate the process and avoid manually replacing the Font.xml file after every skin update.

Let me know if you need help with anything else while setting this up!
I'm not tech savvy and that method is not easy and especially editing 821 lines in Font.xml, i would prefer jurial just make it easy like arctic zephyr when u just add what_ever_font.ttf file into \.kodi\addons\skin.arctic.zephyr.mod\fonts and done. The new font will be listed in the skin setting automatically without any manual xml editing involved.

Of coz u have to do this everytime the skin gets updated since the new font file will get erased in that process. The auto git thingie is for another discussion definitely not for everyone since it's also involve disabling the skin auto update which nobody wants since the skin is still in alpha version WIP.

Yes we want arctic_zephyr_easier_to_add_what_ever_font method.

In version 6.10 or so, which was the last one I had, the icons appeared as I said, now the category icons appear loosely without being inside the circle. I personally like the way it looks inside the circle better.
In current version, the icons will only appear in white circle when you set the categories style under interface, to "Detailed", but that will also add sublabels to the categories.
Thank you very much for your help, thanks to that I found the option

When updating Fuse, the drop-down side menu that appeared before no longer appears and I don't see the option where I can remove it. Before in settings, in the side menu there was an option that said Hub+Collection+Options or something like that but that is no longer there. When I was inside a Hub, 2 buttons appeared, one for Menu and one for Discover, when I clicked on Menu the side drop-down menu opened with my available hubs. Can this no longer be configured so that the side menu appears?

Hi, just curious if there is currently a away to make the keyboard popup by default when using the search feature, rather than having to scroll across the alphabet.  Thanks

In the Version Manager, or "Choose Version to Play" screen, is there a way to have that dialog box show the movie fanart instead of the thumb? I think those two arts are different proportions, but typically fanart has a better selection, and thumbs tend to be low quality.

RE: Arctic Fuse - lifeofastro - 2024-06-08

How can I get rid of the Kodi logo now showing above the title names? It looks ugly and is much cleaner to have it gone. I know how to get rid of the "KODI" letters by editing the font file but now there's a blue Kodi logo as well

RE: Arctic Fuse - Vicparramain - 2024-06-10

Hello folks, I'm a professional translator ans localisation engineer. I'm in such of love with this skin I wan to translate everything not translated yet into Spanish from spain. Would that be possible?

Performance Issues - DragonFly - 2024-06-12

This is not a complain, just love the skin. However I'm just trying to make sense of things.

I'm using a Nvidia Shield as my daily driver, running latest Kodi with the Arctic fuse skin. Things are still running smoothly. But because of its limited internal memory, the Shield is not the best option anymore when running multiple apps. So I've bought myself a RK3588 device, also running Android TV (12). Compared to the Shield, it has far far more raw computing power, 8 Gb internal and faster EMMC mem. Video wise, it can play anything you throw at it using HW decoding, even files you could only dream of playing smoothly on the Shield.

However, running Arctic Fuse (with the exact same settings) on this device is just not the same........it lags. Scrolling through different widgets, it just has that noticeable delay. Just between moving to the next widget, showings its backdrop and regaining focus. Theoretically, with it's superior computing power, things should run ever so smoothly. So, I'm just trying to find out what's causing this and improve on that. Is it;

- a particular skin setting
- a Kodi related (buffer) setting
- access time to the EMMC mem
- any other OS related setting

I've included two video's. Don't know the screen capture do it justice. You might not notice the difference, but it certainly 'feels' different:

On the Shield:

On the RK3588:

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

[Edit]

Just ran the exact same Kodi setup on the same machine, but on Ubuntu 24.04 and from a slower medium (SD-card). It's running ever so smoothly!
So what could it be that's slowing things down (that slight animation delay/stutter) on Android?
