RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - fritsch - 2018-05-16 From your log: You don't have a 24.0 fps mode - so it can't switch. For your 23.976 fps movie it switches to 23.97 mode (your TV only tells you it's 24) For the 59.94, it also switches: 00:57:26.812 T:140677670368384 DEBUG: Matched fuzzy whitelisted Resolution HDMI-0: 1920x1080 @ 59.94Hz (18) 00:57:26.812 T:140677670368384 NOTICE: Display resolution ADJUST : HDMI-0: 1920x1080 @ 59.94Hz (18) (weight: 690.009) Btw. most TVs don't show 59.94 (but 60 instead) - you can use xrandr -q to verify. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - blob810 - 2018-05-16 Hi @fritsch , any news about my ticket with DD+ 7.1? Problem also exists with build #0513 https://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/17871 RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - fritsch - 2018-05-16 (2018-05-16, 08:43)blob810 Wrote: Hi @fritsch ,No and no one is working on it - other things have priority. Just disable EAC3 passthrough for now and enjoy perfect sync with full pcm quality. Edit: I tried myself with: https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.php?id=27781967 a DD+ 7.1 test sample - all fine on my setup. Does this also not work for you? RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - kalebroc - 2018-05-16 Hi guys, First off a big thanks to everyone here for all the hard work on this project. Over the last few days I've been reading about the Nvidia situation and getting 4K HDR working in Libreelec, so it seems this is a no go at the moment which sucks for me because I have two HTPC's both with Nvidia GTX 1050Ti video cards hooked up to a 4K TV and a 4K projector respectively and obviously have to use Windows as the operating system with MadVR and Kodi DSPlayer so that I can get actual 4K HDR playback. It works fine but I would much prefer to use Libreelec - faster, ease of use etc. So, without going the Intel NUC route, am I correct in saying that if I were to change to AMD for my video cards, using the brilliant Milhouse builds with Kodi 18 I would get 4K HDR? And if anyone had a suggestion as to which AMD video card to get I would be very grateful as their website is not the greatest in giving info. Forgive me if I've been reading this whole situation incorrectly in the forum over the last few days, it can be quite confusing sometimes. Thank you. Here https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197731#c0 is a patch which solves the problem with the Tevii USB Receiver. The patch is for dw2102.c.. Perhaps you could apply this patch in further versions? Thank you in advance. HDR output with metadata is currently not possible on Linux. Kodi provides Tone-Mapping, so that colors are not as washed out as they were in v17. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - kalebroc - 2018-05-16 "fritsch" Thank you for the quick reply, Windows is it so for the moment. Thanks again for all the great work ! Last time I checked madvr and things only did SW conversion. Has that changed? Edit: HDR was limited to PowerDVD with a very limited gpu supported. Same for Netflix stuff. Can you see any difference that explains that in the logs? Thanks RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - fritsch - 2018-05-16 The modeline: Quote:INFO: ID:0x1ee Name:1920x1080 Refresh:23.970909 Width:1920 Height:1080 is inaccurate. See: Quote:01:09:11.754 T:140666149139584 DEBUG: No exact whitelisted resolution matched, trying double refresh rate You might have better luck with a custom refreshrate in xorg.conf - LE wiki has something about that. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - kalebroc - 2018-05-16 That's an interesting question - in MadVR there is a HDR setting to allow "passthrough HDR to the display" and once the 4K HDR file starts playing the TV automatically switches to the right resolution and HDR appears on the screen to show that the file is playing, so I presume that this right. I also have the Nvidia settings to 10Bit display in the Nvidia control panel, it looks fine and I have it working for months this way - it just pops off the screen. I think going with providing a user parameter for the maximum NITS is a nice start for 95% of the users - we will see. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - jwegman - 2018-05-16 I've also been experiencing the issue where the next video fails to play (introduced in the several past recent builds). After encountering this scenario, no other videos will play until kodi.bin is restarted. I'm (attempting) to play from NFS shares. I Googled a little but am too mutch of a Noob to make this work. @Milhouse : Is the 23.976 file working oke for you with the legacy driver? IF so: could it have something to do with how I load the legacy driver http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/dGvBcqwd3N/? |
