RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - laric - 2018-06-17
On the latest version I get a freeze when using pvr addon to stream. The problem is that kodi freezes when I stop the stream.
I also cannot upload using the libreelec addon in settings. I get error while pasting. so I have the logs here on my dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/s/zoxcb79vgyzlxat/log-2018-06-17-09.41.58.zip?dl=0
I haven't picked up a log yet but I also get it while i try to stream from a video addon like SVT Play. Same issue freezes when I try to stop the stream.

Hi, just to let you know:
On #0616 the IR remote is not working. IRW reports nothing at all.
Going back to #0615 and it works again.

I've asked milhouse to include the fix, it should hopefully be in the next build.

I don't see any log upload issues in your log, however it's working for me with #0616.
Is #0616 the first build that has this freeze issue? Is it there in #0615?

Hope this is helpful enough.
Thanks!
crash_log build #304
Many thanks.
It seems to be crashing during VAAPI processing, so presumably it is:

Can you try this build and produce a new crash-log which will give more detailed information which may prove useful. @Milhouse i just installed #615b and produced a new crash_log
Thanks!
crash_log #615b
Hi @Milhouse any news on this?
Thanks

Is #0616 the first build that has this freeze issue? Is it there in #0615? Well it was there in the 614b and c i think it was.. I haven't used your 'normal' builds until 616 due to amd vega . Will do some more testing to see if I can get an errror. It just plainly stops doing anything.. like it is waiting for something. The machine works from shell and I can stop kodi and start it again. but kodi itself is dead in the water.
RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - pyrodex - 2018-06-17
@Milhouse
Just tested #616 on my raven ridge APU and so far so good in a quick test with the exception that I cannot play full UHD blu-ray folders. I had no problem with a recent kodi build on ubuntu 18.04 before I ran this build but it did work.

Thanks for the debug log, that will hopefully be useful to the VAAPI experts but it sounds like this is known behaviour (ie. a known bug) and I'm not sure what to add to what @fritsch has already stated.

Welcome to busy dialog hell.
If the GUI "freezes" for no apparent reason the best thing to do would be to ssh into the box, run kill -SIGSEGV $(pidof kodi.bin) , wait for Kodi to restart and then upload the crash log - with luck there'll be something in the stack trace which indicates that it's a Busy Dialog related issue, or something else.
