It shows movie set information view.
The Context Menu for movie set doesn't contain 'information' button, unlike context menu for a movie.

i understand that on Windows, there is a keyboard shortcut, and if you press 'I' you can open this information view for Movie Set.
My concern is that this is not possible with Nvidia Shield.

@andrzejls as you use a wifi keyboard, maybe you could give it a try to confirm if keyboard shortcuts also works on the shield? other than this, it looks like shield users can't display movie set information view because this option is not on the contect menu...

So silly question... Is Kodi running when you try to copy the texture file? Ive never run Librelec (and probably would never either) so not 100% sure if you can run Librelec without launching Kodi.

How are you copying the file (samba share, scp, etc)... Earlier versions of Librelec (around 9.1) had the reboot issue when copying files larger than 500mb.

Did you try and copy the file to a temp location then move it to where it should live?

Kodi is running when I try to copy the file.

I tried copying via samba share and off of a usb thumb drive hooked up to the pi. I've tried copying it directly into the media folder, and to the downloads folder. Everything I do results in Libreelec restarting.

Thanks for taking a look.  I ran some more tests including re-installing the skin on my Sheild (uninstall + delete .kodi/addons/<skin dir>, re-install from your repo (note kodi did not re-download it went straight to install)).  I have a bit more info:

1 - Music Visualization: up/down/left/right (next track / previous track / ...) controls usually don't work as expected in my scenario, I think it's related to disabling lyrics

This reproduced for me even after re-installing the skin.  I found a work-around which was to disable the CU LRC Lyrics plugin itself.  Once I did that the up/down/left/right always work as expected for me in the music visualization.  This is fine for me since I don't really care about the lyrics.  Note that my linux install where things work fine does have the CU LRC Lyrics plugin enabled.

2 - For some artists, extra fanart does not display in the music visualization but it does display when I'm in the artists menu or main menu.

I'm pretty sure we're on the same page description wise given the discussions you've already had with respect to fanart, but just to make sure I'll add a screenshot:



The black and white background in that screenshot is my <root>/<artist>/fanart.jpg, and for this particular artist I don't have an <artist>/extrafanart directory.

The red-circled area contains the images that get cycled through when I'm in the 'MUSIC -> Artists' menu.  I don't have explicit copies of these images in my <artist> folder (Kodi must have pulled them from somewhere).

When I have extra fanart selected as described before, for this artist I get a black screen in the music visualization.

I understand you'll fallback to fanart.jpg if no extra fanart is found but I have another question:

Do you know if there's any way to have the images displayed in that red circled box above be part of the music visualization background screenshots?  I'm 100% sure this was happening for my 'working' artist before since I was seeing images I didn't have in their <artist>/extrafanart directory.  But now that I've toggled settings 20+ times and reinstalled the skin I'm currently no longer seeing them.  My explicit extrafanart files are old and Kodi seems to have found better ones.

What normally displays in the area you are referring to (top left squares) is the budget and revenue information about the movie.
This information comes from a dependency plugin called metadata and artwork module  (script.module.metadatautils). This is usually installed with the skin but to get it to work you need your own personal API keys for the various online scraper databases.  OMDB, TMDB and Fanart TV. These API keys are usually free (i think), you need to apply at the various sites.
