I'm using LG C9 and I'm having the same issue with Dolby Vision
My guess is that the issue started after the following PRs were merged

So it did work at some point? Have you tried today's nightly? Please try beta 2 to see if this is a regression.

Dolby Vision playback fails with the latest nightly(org.xbmc.kodi_20240403-51b0ec29-PR24939_arm.ipk), at least in my case
(stops playing after the first 3 seconds)
In beta 2, Dolby Vision played without any issues

For me, i had rc1 ,rc2, betas and now alpha never worked dolby vision, HDR10 is ok.
Always black screen , profile 5 MP4 works on plex APP, but black screen on Kodi.

Old pain less,
I didnt see that, but i can try when i get home today.
But i didnt see any diferences from HDR on plex same movies.
My LG is a 2022 model oled55b26LA

I think its great Kodi on LG webos, i had a shield , but i sold it,for me ONLY thing is dolby vision, the Diference from HDR10 is noticeble ,i have a lot of movies In MKV, i work as a projecionist in a cinema in lisbon about 23 years.,

Hi.
Just tested Kodi on my LG OLED from 2021.
Just for the record. Started with latest version of 22. But got some strange mishaps..with the "touchscreen" effect...just moving the courser around all sort of strange things happens..ind and out of dialogs and stating movies etc.
Installed Kodi v21 (Omega) Pre-release Builds just on top of the 22....to keep all the config i had already done.
Here everything seems pretty OK, although I also experience severe and not just "Occasionally" A/V sync is off. A full reboot seems to take care of it. I really hope you get around this issue.
But it plays True HD 7.1 sound and Dolby Vision 4k without wrong color mapping...something EMBY can not do!
So really good job so fare ;O)
But more worse though. The scroll whee l/ enter button on the remote really makes some strange mishaps.
Its normal to just dial just a bit to get the cursor out, but if you do that in the middle of a movie..it will skip around in the movie randomly or even worse...it scrolls in the library ...and starts a movies 5 places below. Seriously in the middle of playback!
This scroll wheel issue really needs to be addressed and fixed..its almost impossible to do anything with the remote while watching a movie without all sort of issues.
Thanks for a great software..have been with you since the first XBMC..and not on my LG.

Maybe dolby vision not working is something on 2022 models, because of processor or video card, i know my have a powervr i think, gen5 processor.
