As for your question It is the "Continue watching" widget in "Home". Neither the default settings you set works nor adding a custom script with "widgetreload" property works. Only thing that trigger the addon updates is the 2 methods i mention earlier.
Edit: Currently im using this from embuary helper:
plugin://script.embuary.helper/?info=getnextup&reload=$INFO[Window(home).Property(widgetreload)]
But it is not perfect as when you click on the episode there is no background of the tv show in the tv information page.
Try setting a custom path to the widget with this one here:

@cartman.dos Sadly i'm getting the same result with the widget not updating. When i toggle a watched status in Emby i see a loading spinner next to continue watching but the widget refuses to change unless i go to its settings and click ok.
Maybe it is because i'm running kodi on Shield?
Maybe i can use @sualfred Embuary helper instead? Can you point me where can i add the change he mentioned if it is ok with you? I only want the tv show background to appear on the widget it self and tv show info page.
Edit: The widget updates randomly on my PC. Sometimes it works and some times it doesn't.
Edit2: I noticed that you pushed changes that fixed the background issue with embuary helper now the only issue left is showing the tv show background instead of the episode thumbnail also on home screen:

could you possibly add frame rate info for the player/OSD? would be handy with addons like NBC Sports knowing if its in 60fps, 30, 25 etc.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I searched and couldn't find it. Is there a way to get TV Shows to show ClearArt instead of fanart in the widgets? I tried toggling the setting to "prefer clearart", but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Also, is there a way to have some widgets (like movies) show a poster instead of fanart/clearart? A lot of movies, especially new releases, don't have clearart.

sorry if it's been mantioned before, but it seems that there is a little bug in the "Home" hub,
once clicking on it for the first time, only the Spotlight is shown : https://imgur.com/EIsGLWF , clicking on the Home hub for the second time brings the Home content as it should : https://imgur.com/4P9oDtP
now if i entering to a different hub and than trying to comeback to the Home hub I need to click on it 2 times, as mantioned above,
is there a workaround solution for this issue?

2) Since I don't recall encountering such a bug myself nor it has been reported by other users. I'll need a recipe/steps how-to reproduce it on my end.

In short - you can either have home/hubs showing poster (widget default layout) AND have vertical fixed position.
OR, Disable vertical fixed position and set each widget separately with whatever layout you wish (besides hubs - they're set by default widget layout)

This is a very special case and I don't tend to add stuff on an individual need basis, sorry.
All you'll need for that BTW is to add $INFO[Player.Process(VideoFPS)] in the OSD of your choosing, I can help you out in doing so but will not add as a feature.

I removed lines 9 & 10 and that seems to have resolved the problem.
What was the intent of those lines? Should I be on the lookout for any side effects of removing them?
Also, I don't know if this is related, but I'm unable to select "Watch Now" from the home screen. "More info" is highlighted by default and the arrow keys take me to the next rows of widgets.

This isn't directly related to the Bingie skin but it is exasperated by all of the menu options in Bingie so I thought I'd ask it here.
Is there a single action or keyboard command that will close all menus and take you back to the video you are watching?
