You can. Just play them if they are an ISO file or DVD folder. If you do not want to play them then you can also convert them to mkv or other format and re-add to library to avoid having to play them first. I can't think of a better way to do it other than those options.

Edit: Will add setting to choose your own dimmer setting for the Background In Video Info. I already added it local but sometimes I just need to spend time with my, already angry at the time I spend doing this, family and actually using Kodi to play my media Wink

Thsnk you Mike!! Iw as able to do the font change with your help. I am definately looking forward to the fanart dimming feature. How willI know when a new version is available?

I find it that I spend a lot of time tweaking the skin, and once I settle, I go a couple of versions/years of Kodi before I bite the bullet and do it all over again. The I can concentrate of spending time on the media center... Wink

I think I am missing something basic. When I go to movies info, I am missing the mpaa rating icon, and the other media flags at bottom of the screen.

How do I enable this? I see them in the Madnox version....

Hi,

In Wall View and Shift View, I want to disable fanart display on the background. I want a single image to be used as the backdrop. I can set this withe the Background option. But when I go to Shift view, and I enable Info w/ fanart, I get plain background displayed in the fanart portion.

I simply want to hard-code the image in lieu of the fanart for the background only.

Which xml file renders the fanart background for these views. I already tried MyVideoNav.xml, and View_503_Wall without any succes.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Might be an easier way but I’ve used this method in the past and it works. If someone has a better method please chime in. You can edit the MyVideoNav.xml in the home folder under addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\16x9\. The ID for the MyFlix view in this skin is 509. This will make MyFlix the default view for any section that it works with. You can also see the ID’s for all the other views listed in the view xml’s in this folder.

It’s the first couple of lines, change the 50 to 509, and I’m not sure its necessary but I believe it was suggested that on the second line you can move 509 to the front of the list.

The current XML looks like this
defaultcontrol always="true">50</defaultcontrol> <views>50,51,52,53,55,56,57,58,59,499,500,501,502,503,504,505,506,507,509,591,592,601,602,609</views>

Change it to this
defaultcontrol always="true">509</defaultcontrol> <views>509,50,51,52,53,55,56,57,58,59,499,500,501,502,503,504,505,506,507,591,592,601,602,609</views>

Obviously not all addons and menu's will work with this view.

hello. i have searched high and low for a solution to an issue i'm having with Silvo skin for Jarvis 16.1.
I am unable to utilize the Manage Submenu function because the Skin Shortcuts control seems to be missing.
It's the one that has options for TYPE/ADD/DELETE/MOVE UP/MOVE DOWN, etc.
Instead, I get a screen that says CHOOSE ITEM FOR MENU with options that include COMMON/VIDEO LIBRARY/MUSIC LIBRARY, etc.
I downloaded from three different sources and all are the same, even after completely deleting kodi and starting anew.
I went so far as to replace the script in userdata/addon_data/script.skinshourtcuts - to no avail.
Please let me know if you can help. Thank you so much.

Long time lurker first time question asker. For the record mikeSiLVO your the king! This is and has since its inception been the best skin ever made for Kodi. Also thank you to BigNoid and Mr.V as well as any of the other developers that have helped build this marvel and those that have provided so much support through these fourms.

Updating my old setup with Krypton Nightly and the Git version of Aeon Nox Silvo. My question is in regards to adding skin shortcuts from an addon sub menu to either the main or sub menu of the skin.

When adding a location through "Choose item for menu" or "Change action" the command ends up looking like this:

ActivateWindow(Videos,"plugin://plugin.video.#####/?action=#####",return)

The problem with this is when exiting out of this section it will require multiple presses of the back key to move back up through the hierarchy of the addon . I've seen examples of setups where this has been overcome and the command looks something like this:

ActivateWindow(VideoLibrary,"plugin://plugin.video.#####/?action=#####&amp;url=#####",return)

I see from the windows IDs wiki that the VideoLibrary ID has been removed in Krypton. I've tried using favorites as well as super favorites (Please come back Spoyser your also a master of this Kodi universe) Can anyone tell me how to create a shortcut from an addon sub menu that acts as a hard link so that a press of the back button exits straight back to the home menu? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MikeSiLVo, question regarding the infoline, In the jarvis version of the skin I believe the date and time were always aligned on the right, on the latest git release for krypton it appears it is centered if there is no additional infoline option selected in the skin settings and then moved to the right if additional info is displayed. Just wondering if this is a design choice or if it would be possible to optionally have it with right side alignment for consistency when scrolling through the menu. So sorry if i'm missing a setting that's there but i took a solid look. Thanks for your amazing skin!

Just downloaded version 6.0.2 and noticed that music video doesn't have the option to display cases. I am not sure if it has in the past or not.

edit:
In showcase view, the plot scrolls behind the default cases, it works fine with clear cases.

Hi All

Have a strange issue that I would like some advise on please, maybe a simple fix

When I'm playing music in full screen the artist wallpaper is static and the changing fanart using artist slideshow if faded in the background. I have this issue on 2 of my kodi boxes but not on my main kodi box which displays just the artist slideshow

Any help/advise appreciated
