RE: NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box) - Nekromantik - 2015-06-11 What refresh rates are missing? Have Nvidia said they are working on it? Others will have to confirm 25.0 and 50.0. Nvidia has stated they are considering it for future releases. I would assume this would take longer than other requests. They also said they would consider VC-1 and the HD audio format. RE: NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box) - Nekromantik - 2015-06-11 Ah. So I have to decide either wait for Nvidia to implement 23.976 or get MiniX and loose 2160 @ 60hz feature. Neither support HD Audio at the moment. RE: NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box) - hifiaudio2 - 2015-06-11 Nvidia stated that they ARE going to do HD audio, not just considering.. I want it other way around, want them to say they ARE doing more refresh rates as thats more important for me. I have a lot of 23.976 files. A response to my review . http://smile.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1AW9VQ35WT6XF/ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00U33Q940 "We will also be adding pass-through support for Dolby HD and DTS HD MA audio codecs in a future update. We also appreciate your feature request for 23.976 playback support and are considering adding support for it. " RE: NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box) - Tinwarble - 2015-06-11 Ah, ok, I remember seeing that, but forgot about the HD audio response. No matter what I do I cannot get it to connect, it just doesn't see the box, I've even plugged it in USB and and I have the drivers installed correctly because the computer identifies it as the Shield TV, but ADB just cannot see it, not over wired network or direct USB. I've enabled USB debugging, I have the proper IP, if I try adb tcpip 5555 I just get "error: device not found". I can't figure out what I'm missing. Read from earlier on this page - http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=220297&pid=2025347#pid2025347 And also this new tool for loading info from Windows - http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=228158&pid=2026723#pid2026723 RE: NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box) - Koying - 2015-06-12 You have to enable usb debugging. It involves clicking a number of time on a line in the about screen of the device. This is standard android stuff, just Google for it. I saw that post, it says it doesn't work over WiFi, and I have it wired to my network and tried over USB, both failed (both direct connections). I downloaded that tool but I prefer ADB if I can figure it out. I've used ADB fine in the past with other devices. (2015-06-12, 07:42)Koying Wrote: You have to enable usb debugging. Yes, it's enabled, I've done everything correctly as far as I know, I post a question on last resort, not so much for instructions, but to see if anyone has it successfully working just to make sure it's possible. |
