I will go with the AsRock Beebox because I stop building PC a long time agoBlush

I see in your sig using the BeeBox? The 7200 one? Gussing running Kodi on it? For 3d using external playback with something like PowerDVD?

PowerDVD is needed for 3D on Windows anymore if you use @afedchin build.

This afedchin build is new to me. Not sure what all does. I have normal Kodi 17 installed with MQ7 and latts mods. I have it mount my iso and then launch PowerDVD.

We all use to use PowerDVD until @afedchin release the Windows Build very easy to use, best way of playing 3D with pure Kodi, I also use Kodi 17 w/@afedchin build with MQ7 @latts MOD

@afedchin build allows for full/native 3D MVC w/o need for PowerDVD or TMT, directly via his Kodi build. Just need a compatible Intel-based PC w/integrated Intel graphics. Just check out the thread @movie78 linked to.

Got it bookmark now to read in a bit. Thanks! All this UHD and HDR will be new to me now since my Epson 2030 couldn't do anything with it. This 5040ub should help some.

Fwiw, HDR is supported with PDVD v.17 and nVidia passing high bitrate audio without W10 creators edition due to release this spring.

RE: Kodi Media Player Options with 3D MVC & HD Audio - hdmkv - 2017-02-28

Good to know... it's hopefully just a matter of time w/Kodi and HDR support.

Does that mean if I open an HDR file within PDVD 17 my TV will trigger the HDR signal?

Yes.

Are you sure about that. I haven't checked the latest Insider Preview build 15042, but I have checked the previous build and it wasn't working (with GTX1060 card).

Edit: I see you are talking about PowerDVD 17. Haven't checked with that.

Yes, I'm sure.

PowerDVD is on sale for $50 until Tomorrow.

I would love to see a youtube demo of a W10 PC using PowerDVD playing back UltraHD BLURAYS and HDR files and the HDR tax triggering a compatible TV.

A quick video demo?

I read earlier today, I think starting in April, Windows 10 will not allow any 3rd party downloads. Only downloads onto windows 10 will have to be through the Microsoft store. Wondering how this will change things??

RE: Kodi Media Player Options with 3D MVC & HD Audio - hdmkv - 2017-03-01

Maybe only via their app store? Don't see how MS would block regular Windows application installs.
