I do not agreed with rating of the VidOn box compare to Ras Pi 2...if this rating only base 3D and HD Audio performance.

You think RPi2 should be lower right? Reason I have it higher is RPi2 does perfect 23.976 and MVC 3D. Granted, no ISO yet, but it's being worked on by devs. It also does HD audio for TrueHD, just decoded as 8-channel PCM. It only can't do DTS-MA. With VidOn, PQ isn't as good as Pi's, it isn't as snappy, and there are HDMI handshaking bugs. That last bit may have been resolved by the latest updates (I haven't gotten a chance to test yet).

Been out of the loop for awhile - does this mean the Pi2 can play 3d MVC MKV's ?

Yes, in a MKV container. Not (yet) in an ISO.

Yes, there is a thread here for Milhouse's Isengard (ie unreleased version 15) test builds. You need one of those.

Hey there nickr, as this applies to Kodi and triggering full 3D playback in general, is there something in settings that has to be enabled, and do files have to be named as directed here (found via Google search)? ISO I think doesn't need special naming, but trying to find proper way to name frame-packed MVC MKV, SBS and T/B movies.

Include 3D.SBS in the file name. Counter-intuitive but it works.
And @dchabby, works on pi1 too. But why would you buy one now?

Wow. So the pi2 is just missing better 1080i de interlacing for LiveTV and Netflix.

Can you take over Chromebox and do some magic with it?
The guys working on Chromebox doesn't care about 3D
