RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - JustAnotherUser - 2015-09-23 Hi. I've recently bought a RPi2 on the strength of the work that's been done to enable playing 3D MVC video, but I'm struggling to play any that doesn't result in a reboot. Installed OE build is 22Sept #0922 I downloaded 3 samples from another OE thread, using shared links by popcornmix Gravity Thor The Hobbit I have them stored on my LAN and they play as 1080p in 2D, so as instructed, I renamed them to end the filename as
.3D.MVC.mkv Now when I play them it just causes OE to crash and Pi needs to have pwr pulled. I've tried them from both SMB share and also local SD card, same result. If I just rename them to end
.3D.mkv they play in 2D still, adding the MVC causes this. I've enabled in settings the play as Full HD 3D etc Pi Audio is to 8 channel decode, its connected to an AV amp and PCM shows when playing in 2D. Have I got the naming convention wrong or missing something else ? Thanks kodi.log http://pastebin.com/n4nfjU4a RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - popcornmix - 2015-09-24 (2015-09-23, 23:14)JustAnotherUser Wrote: I've recently bought a RPi2 on the strength of the work that's been done to enable playing 3D MVC video, but I'm struggling to play any that doesn't result in a reboot. Can you give OE 5.95.5 a go? That should also support MVC mkv files (although not iso), and is pretty stable. These builds are pretty experimental with a lot of changes each day (due to the switch to videoplayer). RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - JustAnotherUser - 2015-09-24 will I have to do a clean install to go backwards or will dropping it into Update folder still work ? An update should work. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - JustAnotherUser - 2015-09-24 I did an update, of 5.95.5 but it booted to a multi coloured screen, so I did a clean install, restoring various xml files (advancedsettings.xml etc) to set it up again ensuring the 3D options in settings were still set. I put the samples files into the sd cards \Video folder and on playing the Thor clip with filename ending
.3D.mkv it played in 2D - there was no 3D option in the OSD I renamed to end
.3D.MVC.mkv and whilst it didn't crash, it just played in 2D - again no 3D options in the OSD. Can you advise further ? Thanks This log includes it playing first as named .3D then as 3D.MVC http://pastebin.com/xh6usep3 Another log but with full debug enabled http://pastebin.com/U3xKsKYF RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Milhouse - 2015-09-24 New OpenELEC Jarvis build #0923: RPi / RPi2 (Supercedes previous build) Code: # uname -a Based on tip of OpenELEC master (a462c3c9, changelog) and tip of XBMC master (fee4018a, changelog) with the following modifications:

Can you identify which build is the first build with this problem? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - menakite - 2015-09-24 With latest build* the video-not-going-full-screen issue seems much better, but from time to time (1080p content) I still can hear audio starting while still in library view and then shortly after video goes full screen. From time to time after seek I get no audio and it doesn't recover (pause/resume, seeking again have no effect) and need to stop and resume from there. * I haven't watched HD content for a couple days (= couple builds). Edit: nitpicking: although PLL adjust works fine ("err" in codec info reaches 0.0 ms) the "pll" value is not updating. With hdmi_clock_change_limit=40 it's always 0.9996 or 1.0004 even when err:0.0. With hdmi_clock_change_limit=40 it's always 0.9996 or 1.0004 even when err:0.0. There was a bug there. It's meant to slow down as it approaches zero error. I've pushed a fix. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - JustAnotherUser - 2015-09-24 @popcornmix Sorry to continue to post about my issue where your samples arn't playing in 3D (do you wish me to star a new thread on it rather than here?) "The MVC tag has only been added in nightly builds. Use ".3D.SBS." as tag in Isengard builds." I renamed to
(year).3D.SBS.mkv and it goes to a blank screen, eventually coming back to the File List. I'm stuck with this, does anybody have the 3 samples working (as Full HD 3D MVC playback) on OE 5.95.5 ? http://pastebin.com/wQ6vWYbA Thanks RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - popcornmix - 2015-09-24 (2015-09-24, 21:02)JustAnotherUser Wrote: http://pastebin.com/wQ6vWYbA There is a bugfix for 5.95.5 which will be in next version related to auto interlace. For now can you try a workaround. Can you play a file that does work, and make sure deinterlace is set to auto or off, and deinterlace mode is set to Bob (anything other than auto should be okay). Then select set as default for all videos. Then try the MVC file. If not, then can you remove your advancedsettings.xml? This looks suspicious: Code: 19:10:56 47.845375 T:1967988736 ERROR: GetResumeItemOffset - Cannot open VideoDatabase Also can you try with omxplayer disabled which shouldn't have the auto deinterlace bug. |
