Interesting, so would there be any point to using a display port to HDMI adapter

I been waiting for someone to see if that's a solution before I went out and bought one.

I'll be testing the one I listed tonight and the true 3d one tomorrow.

Do you know if you should be keeping windows in 1080 resolution then let Kodi adjust for 4k? I feel like Kodi was changing my TV to 4096 for 1080 and my 4k movie to 3,840x2,160

Which is the 2.0? The one alone or the one above the display port? I'll be testing a bunch of stuff when I get back home later.

I won't lie, I am new to this, so if you could give me the scenarios to test that would be helpful

Yes keep Intel settings at 1080p, I saw mine doing the same when launching the Kodi app, it would do the same thing. I changed the refresh rate to 60hz in the Intel settings and it corrected this. Now I only get 4K when playing a 4K video. This change also fixed my inability to play mvc mkv.

The one by the USB ports is the HDMI 1.4.

Now that is fixed, but neither HDMI port recognize 3d, and my display port To HDMI adapter does not either.

Should this adapter work?

DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0a Active Adapter 4K@60Hz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B6ZOMIS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fdQzybVM4697G

Finally, what should my windows resolution be? I'm assuming it needs to stay at the 1080 3d option for 3d to work?

Here is what I've done.

Install windows 10. Plug beebox-s into hcdp 2.2 port on Onkyo nr838. Windows resolution 1080 with 3d on. Followed images at top of thread.

How do I know if everything is working properly?

I do know 3d is not, but how do I tell if all movies are playing as they should?

Thanks.
Are you able to select the hardware option?

I have the same Beebox but I'm using the HDMI 1.4 output and 3D works fine for me.

While switching between outputs that option may have gotten reset. Is there a solution that supports 4k and 3d without swapping outputs on the beebox-s?

Try these settingChannge the display resolution to 1920X1080p 60Hz and make sure kodi has the same resolution.
This is the only way i got 3D to work on my.

RE: Intel HTPC/NUC's w/reliable Kodi-native 3D MVC Playback - brazen1 - 2016-12-30

If the display, GPU, and AVR ports are modern 4k HDMI 2.0 only, is 3D possible?

Is 3D only possible using older 1.4 ports?

Can Kodi and Windows software be left defaulted at 4k resolution and still render 3d?

When starting 3D title, does display switch to 1080p and when finished switch back to 2160p if match refresh rate is enabled?

Did this let you use one port to do 4k and 3d? If so was it one of the HDMI ports or the display port with an adapter? Finally, is the color option you talk about the one where you enable it based on the HDMI port (I have a Samsung 4k TV)?

This is the HDMI Port that I am using and I think that is the HDMI 1.4, I was using the Samsung SUHD JS9000, make sure you turn off the UHD COLOR OFF on the HDMI OUTPUT.

Once that is turned on your TV resolution is auto set 3820X2160p and for 3D MVC required that your display set to 1920X1080p, at lease that is what I found out when troubleshooting my system.

I'm connected via optical pass-through. Problem is that kodi will always choose 7.1 track instead of 5.1 track... even after making system preference changes.

Also, can not figure how to downmix 7.1 to 5.1. So, not able to hear any audio if the Blu-ray is 7.1 only.

Did you try WASAPI?

Disable DTSHD & TRUEHD and see if the downmix works.

Yes, by doing so, this will only allow a downmix to 2.0. But, from my understanding, I should still be able to get 5.1 from a 7.1 track.
Also, by disabling DTS (Which my receiver can decode) I can no longer get DTS 5.1. It changes to regular stereo.

Going to double check this, I have this on and 3D kicks on for me when playing a mvc mkv.
