i just got the chance to test the 1018y (4.19-rc8) build!

WoL from S5 works!
also tested WoL from S3.
both work flawless!

can the patch be inculded in the upcoming 4.19 builds?
thanks!

Yes I'll include it in future 4.19.y builds until it is merged upstream.

Hi Milhouse.

This may seem like a silly question but what does “Additional commits/pull requestschanges not merged upstream” actually mean?

Are these not yet in your current LibreElec Test build?

Means they are included in the build, but are not merged into the master branch of whatever project its for (Libreelec, Kodi, plugins, etc)

Finally found the option! On LG it's called 'Just Scan' and found within the aspect ratio menu (had dutch language before so couldn't find it). It's on 'Automatic' by default, but you need to set it to 'On' to change the screen size to somewhat smaller. I can confirm with latest build (#1024) i don't have any artifacts on the screen borders. Looks like fritsch is right; it's a TV issue not a kodi issue.
I have a Sony Bravia 32'' LCD, is fairly old and has no settings like that. The only setting I have is to over scan even further.. Like (-1,-2) Smile
So I guess your saying buy a new TV?.. Smile

What @Fuzzard said.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - basco - 2018-10-26

Since #1024 live tv (tvh) crashes after a few seconds
log

and (something i haven't pinned to a specific release yet), WOL does not always work and shutting down with JSON api sometimes takes a few minutes.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - basco - 2018-10-26

Another thing, after i send a WOL to my box i send this command to my kodi boxes on power up in a loop (with timeout ;o) until 'OK' is returned from the JSON api:

/usr/bin/curl -s --connect-timeout 1 -H "Accept: application/json" -H "Content-type: application/json" -d '{"id":1,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Player.Open","params":{"item":{"channelid":3}}}' http://xbmc:[email protected]:8080/jsonrpc

This crashes kodi every time, it used to work "a while" ago... sorry havent pin pointed the release yet.
But when i run this command when kodi is already booted and up for a few minitues it does not crash kodi.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2018-10-26

@basco if you could identify the build when this issue started that would help a lot! I'm assuming your second post (json crash) is the same as the first (a crashlog would confirm). I haven't noticed any WOL (to/from S3) issues myself but I don't use tvheadend.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - basco - 2018-10-26

Ok, traced the WOL issue (for me)....

i'm unable to WOL in #1023 and #1024

it's working #1022

(still searching for the release that has a working JSON api)

LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2018-10-26

@basco try #1025 which includes a WOL from S5 (poweroff) fix for r8169 based ethernet.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Nekromantik - 2018-10-27

since 1025 i been getting issue with watchdog plugin.
i use it to monitor my nfs shares for changes and then update library.
works well until now, from 1025 it keeps checking for changes even though there are none.
before it used to scan if there was a change but now it does it every few mins.
@millhouse  anything you can think of that could cause this?

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - .:B:. - 2018-10-27

I don't have any issues to report but just wanted to say thank you @Milhouse for your hard work and frequent test builds Smile.
