Yes, just drop the tar file you want to downgrade to into the "Updates" folder and reboot.
Depending on the version you are downgrading to you may want to remove any databases created by these "bleeding edge" builds.

Thanks. I'm running an Asus Chromebox (Haswell) which was modded maybe four-five years ago. After running the mount command, nano still brings up an empty file. As an aside, I'm really interested in how all this will play out. A new stable release should be coming soon. I also don't have a syslinux.cfg file

Hi Milhouse,
could it be that this change https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/12776 introduced this behaviour https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=338046&pid=2799097#pid2799097
@illiac4 in this thread, says build #907 from Sept. 2017 still works. This build is too old, so i can't test ist with this build. The change mentioned above, was added with #910 of Sept. 2017.
Maybe you can have a look on. Thanks

You're in luck, I just searched one of my test client systems and found the #0909 (2017) and #0910 (2017) builds were cached on the HDD.
You can now compare #0909 (without PR12776) and #0910 (with 12776).

#0910: Generic

@hasenbolle Apologies for not finding those #0909/#0910 builds when you posted last week - it's pure luck I still have those builds lying around on that client.

@Milhouse
Just tested with #909 (2017) and #910 (2017)
#909 (2017) - Working
#910 (2017) - Not working
#910 introduced the flickering of leds, when using the hyperion.kodi addon (https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.kodi/releases). The addon does use the RenderCapture() method. Maybe related to https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/12776
For more details: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=338046
Debug log (Using #910 and version 1.0.2 from https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.kodi/releases): https://pastebin.com/rYBzhiQX

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - damo_f - 2018-12-13
Hi all,
I have a raspberry pi 3+. Should I be using the generic builds or the RPi2 builds? Reason is, in Kodi 17, the standard libreelec mediaportal live tv does not pause for the buffer to fill every 5 seconds. In 1212 and in all other distro's it constantly buffers with Kodi 18.
Is there anything I can do to check what is going on?
