EDIT: WTF! Now it works. Oh well, disregard my last statement. Time for bed...

This should be fixed in #0727.
It has been random when it shows up. But I will see if there is any change after vacation is over.

I was getting this on startup intermittently, I've installed the latest and will see if it happens again.

In response to my RAR issue i have a paste bin here: http://sprunge.us/MaeT

I can't make sense of it but pressing play on a movie will play only the audio from the file and not the video.

Thanks

Since #0729 (maybe caused by PR:12587?) starting live tv with DVBLink Client always ends in a system reboot.
Cause of the API changes i dont know if its useful to post a log and to report such pvr issues, or just to be patient for further adjustments?

Good catch. The addon must not return NULL from GetLiveStreamURL. It must return an empty string (""). You could file an issue here: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.dvblink/issues

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - yamcenutzer - 2017-08-01

Hi,
since I have been having having troubles since at least beg. July with acces to my smb shares, I gave it a closer look today:

so here's the thing with smb client:
The share in question is on a domain joined server.
When connecting manually from the cli I get this:

Code:
LibreELEC-NUC:~ # smbclient //nas/shares -U mitra
Enter WORKGROUP\mitra's password:
Kinit for [email protected] to access nas failed: Cannot contact any KDC for requested realm

It does however connect:

Code:
smb: \> ls
  .                                  DA        0  Fri Apr 21 23:21:16 2017
  ..                                 DA        0  Fri Apr 21 23:21:16 2017
  BDs                                 D        0  Sun Mar  6 22:14:10 2016
  Downloads                           D        0  Sun Jul 23 02:11:54 2017
  Filme                               D        0  Sun Jul 30 23:17:50 2017
  Iso Images                          D        0  Sat Jul  8 14:15:54 2017
  Media                              DA        0  Fri Mar  3 00:12:54 2017
  Musik-tv                            D        0  Sun Jan 17 18:32:09 2016
  Public                              D        0  Fri Jul 28 22:24:44 2017
  Sortierte Fotos                     D        0  Sat Oct 26 22:13:43 2013
  tv-serien                           D        0  Mon Jul 24 22:07:48 2017
  Foto-Backups                        D        0  Sat Oct 26 22:13:43 2013

The same if I actually try giving the domain:

Code:
LibreELEC-NUC:~ # smbclient //nas/shares -W zuhause -U mitra
Enter ZUHAUSE\mitra's password:
Kinit for [email protected] to access nas failed: Cannot contact any KDC for requested realm
Domain=[ZUHAUSE] OS=[] Server=[]
and ls gives the same result as above, and the files are accessible.

In contrast, if I connect to a non-domain server, I don't get any errors/warnings
I think either a module is missing, or the return message could/should be ignored.

In any case, access to the domain joined server works in 17.3 and earlier.

Any ideas?

Kodi doesn't support Active Directory.

Edit: Well, it might, but you'll need to remove the workgroup setting to stop Kodi configuring it in the Samba API. You'll probably also need to add additional AD realm properties to /storage/.kodi/.smb/user.conf as this is the Samba config used by Kodi - the Samba server and client tools will use the default system wide Samba conf from /etc/samba/smb.conf (or a custom /storage/.config/samba.conf).

True in that Kodi or LibreELEC can't be a member of a domain, but there are zero issues connecting to a domain member machine. I've been doing it for years, the problem is that Kodi has been lagging way behind with SAMBA and it wasn't until the recent issues where everyone is now being forced to abandon SMBv1 that something is finally getting done. I have threads and reports on this going back a few years asking for proper SMBv2 onward support.

My recommendation, as it's what I did with my Window 2016 domaim media file server (was 2012 until last week), is first disable SMBv1 to get that out of the equation, then try again with any of Milhouse's recent builds. It now attempts to connect all the way up to SMBv3 and you can use the GUI to add the sources as SMB, specifying the username as domain\account and the password. What you cannot do is browse for shares as that was SMBv1 only, you need to know the server name and the sharename and type them in manually.

Thanks Taomyn, good to know!

That were my thoughts, I never expected libreelec to be able to actually join the domain (although I do that for some of my regular linux boxes)

Unfortunately, although I already had the media source in sources.xml and also can re-add it the same way, It simply does not work. It might be that, the media library on the sql server ist using some incompatible (older) version of the file feed, I don't know.
I just found the return message on the command line funny, since I don't see that when I try to connect with, e.g. a stock ubuntu 16 . The latter, of course has a non alpha samba 4.4 or 4.6.
Out of curiosity, what was the compelling reason to use a alpha/beta Samba instead of, say, 4.6?

currently with no nas access and pvr broken, it is pretty much unusable for me.
When I find time (weekend?) I'll try installing from scratch.

We're not - we're using 4.6.6 which is the current release version (and older versions of Samba should be avoided due to security issues). We've only backported two minor fixes (default to latest protocol, and avoid tdb lockup) from 4.7-rc because they're beneficial.
