Anyone here with NUC7PJYH and LibreElec? I saw many problems in the previous testing thread with this hardware - can it do 4k 60 / HDR yet?

That's why I asked for a url only instead to be given a broken add-on (but this did at least allow me to find a working url once I'd gone back far enough for the add-on to work). Reproducing a problem with just a url is (for me at least) much easier and hopefully means fewer problems/complications due to add-ons and dependencies.

As for texturecache it's built-in to LibreELEC and a simple method for playing any url from the command line. Smile

HDR won't be supported until kernel 5.3, and there may also need to be additional Kodi tweaking for HDR once the kernel is ready. At least your box is a Gemini Lake so should be getting HDR support - users with older generation CPUs may not be so lucky.

Probably not, at least initially it's only for Gen 11 which means Ice Lake/Gemini Lake (and later). There may be technical limitations (LSPCON and lack of native HDMI 2.0 support) that make it impossible to support HDR on older generations.

Quote:* ToDo: Gen9 also can support HDR with LSPCON. * Support for the same to be enabled later.

I did read somewhere that it may only be possible via the native Display Port on older systems as Intel implemented HDMI as DP->HDMI via LSPCON bridge (ie. not native HDMI 2.0 and any HDR metadata support would then depend on the LSPCON hardware vendor), but good to know some older systems may get HDR support one way or another, although as this is Intel I wouldn't advise holding of breath...

From Phoronix website:

Our highlights for the Linux 5.3 kernel of new and improved functionality include:

Linux Graphics:
- Intel HDR display support is now ready to go from the kernel-side for Icelake and Geminilake or newer. But some areas of the Linux user-space still aren't quite ready for the high dynamic range bits. AMDGPU also saw HDR meta-data support added.

Processors:
- Several new Arm SoCs and boards are supported (S922X Odroid N2 etc)

Quick question:
I just found out today that color management does not work with latest builds.
Is there an older version with known working color management?
Must be kernel 5.x.x, my GPU does not work with older versions

LCMS support has never been enabled in LibreELEC due to Kodi GUI design issues that would result in Kodi crashes for users that are not using LCMS (which is likely to be the majority).
