For the nvidia issue, can you try #1028 to #1101 and see when the issue starts, my guess would be #1029 with the mesa-19.2.2 bump (which involved messing about with libglvnd and xorg-server).

Also, given the LibreELEC Settings add-on isn't currently functional due to Python3 issues you can use pastecrash at the command line to upload a crashlog+journal to ix.io, then paste the link.

Weird.. None of them are now showing Nvidia problems now after the several reboots of the updated versions.

Anyway, here are the PasteCrashes:

#1029: http://ix.io/20Ep
#1030: http://ix.io/20Ev
#1031: http://ix.io/20Ey
#1101: http://ix.io/20EA
#1102: http://ix.io/20EB

All of them have "Common cache" error message popups on Kodi's GUI start. That is also Python3 related?

Last version working on a Raspberry Pi is #1012, 12-Oct-2019.
If you upgrade to one version after #1012, 12-Oct-2019 LibreElec settings don't work, network settings not reachable anymore, no video playback on Video Plugins, etc....
Don't upgrade or you will be stuck in a not working version which you can't downgrade anymore through the kodi interface.

I see in the system log with #1029 onwards (maybe also #1028 but you didn't include the system log so I can't be sure):
text:

Nov 03 01:26:51 LibreELEC kodi.sh[978]: libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate
Nov 03 01:26:51 LibreELEC kodi.sh[978]: libEGL warning: MESA-LOADER: failed to open swrast (search paths /usr/lib/dri)

And it doesn't look like kodi.bin is starting at all with #1101/#1102.

Are you testing in a VM?

To be honest I'm a bit confused as to what is going on - are these builds actually working now? If not, when did the issue start, is it first seen with #1028? Can you try #1102 with a clean ".kodi" folder to rule out any add-ons?

Yes that's a Python3 issue, the add-on requires updating by the maintainer.

Thanks, I thought I had pointed that out in the #1028 release notes?

I've included a simple command line script to allow upgrades/downgrades, mhupdate, see release notes for #1028. It will require ssh access, but frankly that's a pre-requisite for using test builds IMHO.

And this is the x86_64 thread... Smile

Edit: By the way, since #1012 (and earlier) only supports Python2 it is going to have issues with Kodi 19 addons that are updated to support only Python3, so even the "last version working" will have issues with add-ons (if it isn't having issues already). The only way out of this mess is to move forwards, and for add-ons to update with Python3 support.

Are you testing in a VM?

Nope, not in any VM, simply directly on the old faithful i3-3225 machine. Kodi does start I guess, the GUI is being displayed.
I didn't play any videos because of time constraints. I'll have more time tomorrow to do testing, with clean setups etcetera.
